Hungarian Stitch
The Hungarian Needlepoint Stitch is a stitch that simulates small diamond-shaped blocks. It is composed of groups of three vertical stitches. Two of the stitches span two threads of canvas, while the third spans four.

- Secure your thread on the backside of the canvas by making a small knot.
- Insert the needle from the back of the canvas to the front at the bottom.
- Move the needle vertically across the canvas, skipping one intersection of the canvas, and insert the needle from front to back.
- Bring the needle down through the back of the canvas and insert it into the lower right intersection of the first stitch.
- Then go up to the upper right intersection to the second point (make sure you are skipping four lines of the canvas).
- Repeat the vertical stitches in the same order: One stitch skipping two threads of the canvas and one stitch skipping four threads of the canvas.
