Woven Wheel Stitch Instructions & Diagram
You can see the diagram of this stitch below.
- We will begin by making the star-shaped support stitches
- First, we will make a vertical stitch from top to bottom passing over three canvas threads, then move the needle two canvas threads up and three to the right and insert the needle
- Make a diagonal stitch to the same canvas hole as the bottom of the first stitch (this will be the center canvas hole)
- Next, from the center canvas hole move the needle three canvas threads down and two to the right, insert the needle and stitch up to the center canvas hole
- Move the needle three canvas threads down and two to the left, stitch from there to the center canvas hole, and then move two canvas threads up and three to the left, stitch from there to the center canvas hole
- To start with the circle, move the needle (behind the canvas) one canvas intersection diagonally upward and start to go around the central point passing over and under the stitches already made intercalary; increase the size of the circle at each turn
