• Insert the needle from the back of the canvas to the front at the starting point
• Perform diagonally upwards to the right a sequence of stitches skipping 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, and 1 canvas intersection respectively
• At the end of the last stitch of the previous step start again the pattern of the previous step starting from the stitch that skips 2 canvas intersections
• When completing the last stitch of the sequence move the needle 6 canvas threads to the left and one down
• At that point make a sequence of diagonal stitches upward to the left parallel to skip 1, 2, 3, 2, 2, 1 respectively
• At the end of this sequence, move the needle 3 canvas threads to the right and one up (behind the canvas)
• From that point, repeat step number 5
