• Start by inserting the needle from the back to the front and make a stitch by moving six canvas threads to the bottom and two to the left
• Then move the needle one canvas thread to the right and go up three stitches behind the canvas and make a stitch up to the canvas hole to the right of the second stitch, make another three stitches equal to this last one
• At the end of the last stitch of the sequence, make another top stitch as if you were going to make a stitch like the previous ones, but bring the needle six canvas threads down and two to the left
• The bottom line will be the same as the top line but should be offset by three canvas holes to the bottom and two to the left
• Repeat step 2 and 3 as many times as necessary
