Chevron Stitch
The Chevron Needlepoint Stitch is a simple and versatile stitch that creates a V-shaped pattern. It's commonly used to create decorative borders, fillings, and textured patterns.
Stitch Details
- Stitch Structure: Flat, Straight, Condensed
- Also Known as: Damask Stitch
- Recommended for: Large areas, Flowers

- Make a vertical stitch skipping four canvas threads from bottom to top
- Then, make two equal stitches on the right side, each one raising a canvas hole to the previous one
- Then make the same two stitches diagonally downward (following the same logic)
- The second row should be immediately below this one and will be a sequence of vertical stitches passing over two canvas threads. The top of this should be in the same canvas hole as the bottom of the top row.
- Repeat step 3 and 4 as many times as necessary, always remember to alternate between long and short stitches
