The Moorish Needlepoint Stitch is a decorative stitch that creates a textured, woven look, often resembling a series of interlocking squares or diamonds.

- Related Stitches: Scotch Stitch
- Recommended for: Large areas, Backgrounds
- Composite Stitch: Diagonal Scotch Stitch, Tent Stitch

- To start make a tent stitch across one intersection of the canvas
- Below and parallel to it make successive stitches over two, three, two, and then one intersection again
- Repeat as many times as necessary to create a diagonal pattern
- Then, make tent stitches adjacent to the squares, keep in mind that the adjacent stitches must be on the same canvas hole
- There should be a total of 3 tent stitches horizontally and three vertically, you should continue alternating the direction
