Hungarian Grounding Stitch
The Hungarian Grounding Needlepoint Stitch is often utilized as a filling stitch, especially in background areas, and it's known for its geometric and textured appearance.

- This stitch have two different pattern rows
- To start the first row, we will make a vertical stitch over five canvas threads from bottom to top
- Now you will have to make two stiches of the same size but diagonally upwards, going up a canvas row with each one
- Then do the same two downwards and alternate between up and down to achieve the effect
- For the second (bottom) row, all stitches are over two canvas threads. Just below the highest stitch of the first row, stitch one stitch. Next, stitch one on each side of it and one below it
- Note that in the next row, the highest stitches should follow the lowest stitches in the first row, so that there is enough space for the diamonds in the second row
