The Kalem Needlepoint Stitch is made up of alternating columns of slanted stitches which produce a chevron effect.
Stitch Details
- Stitch Structure: Knitting, Diagonal
- Related Stitches: Fern Stitch, Herringbone Stitch
- Recommended for: Small areas, Large areas, Flowers, Clothes

- Make a sequence of diagonal stitches upward to the left, each stitch will jump two threads of the canvas upward and one to the left.
- Each stitch must be located immediately below the other
- At the end of this column start making the same stitches but with a mirror effect to the previous ones
- Follow the same pattern but skip two canvas threads up and one to the right. The bottom stitches of each pair must be in the same canvas hole
