Ray Stitch
The Ray Needlepoint Stitch resembles the rays of the sun. It's often used to fill in areas with a textured and radiating pattern.

- Stitch Structure: Flat, Pattern, Diagonal

- Recommended for: Large areas, Flowers, Mountains

- Start by making a diagonal stitch down to the left skipping two canvas intersections, then move the needle two canvas intersections diagonally up to the left, insert the needle, and make a diagonal stitch to the same canvas hole as the bottom of the first stitch, this will be the "center hole"
- Move the needle one canvas thread to the right and three canvas threads up, then make a stitch from there to the center hole
- Make the same stitch on the other side, creating a mirror effect
- Bring the needle four canvas threads up and make a vertical straight stitch to the center hole
