- Make three vertical stitches skipping four canvas threads
- Then, move the needle four canvas threads to the right and one canvas thread downward
- Make three horizontal stitches skipping four canvas threads
- At the end, move the needle four canvas threads to the right and one canvas thread downward and repeat the process and many times as needed
